Romanian Red Cross is looking for an Organizational Development Officer. This position is in the Headquarters of the National Society and the Organizational Development Officer (ODO) is responsible for the creation and implementation of strategies for institutional development, modernization of internal processes and increasing operational efficiency. Heshe also coordinates the development of the overall strategy of the Romanian Red Cross, based on the needs and proposals of the branches and HQ departments, ensuring consistency of objectives.
This role will report to the Secretary General and work closely together with the senior leadership (department directors in the HQ) of the NS and branch managers, receiving NSD technical guidance and support from the IFRC.

Job duties and responsibilities
National Society Development
- Leads and facilitates the collections process of proposals and ideas from Romanian Red Cross branches and HQ departments to develop a unified 3–5-year strategy.
- Support in the assessment of the NS needs and planning for their sustainable self-development leading to the clear definition of the organization’s objectives, the ways in which they can be achieved and the resources required.
- Advance the practical furthering of the Framework and Principles for Building Strong National Societies on principles, approaches and practical methods for National Society development.
- Analyses together with the senior leadership, the organizational structure and proposes solutions to optimize processes and increase operational efficiency.
- Ensure an integrated approach to organizational development with other programmatic areas.
- Leads and facilitate a Movement Cooperation in organizational development to ensure that coherent and effective support is provided to National Society.
